With just enough travel to take the edge off our technical trails, the Scott Spark excels when efficiency is the top priority. With a 130mm fork and 120mm rear shock you'll still have enough cushion when the trail tips down. One of the features that sets Scott apart from some of our other options is their remote lockout system. Twinloc allows you to simultaneously adjust the front and rear suspension between 3 different modes - fully locked out, traction mode, and descend. Fully locked out is great for riding on pavement or a light dirt road en route to the trailhead. Traction mode brings the suspension down to 85mm and stiffens the rear end up a bit. We like Traction Mode on long climbs that don't have many technical features. Descend mode is, you guessed it, for going downhill. We also love descend mode when trying to navigate very technical sections of trail, either going uphill or downhill. Having maximum traction and comfort allows us to focus on whats important - the trail ahead.
We are trying to be better about sending out newsletters -at the very least we'll send out info about sales, events, and the occasional photo essay from a recent trip.
