The Transalp Carbon series added a new width for the 2021 season - the 86. This might not seem like much of a difference but a smidge more width underfoot will make all the difference when you want it. It shares the responsiveness of the Transalp 82 but will have more surface area for setting skin tracks and navigating over slush, crud, and powder. This is an ideal ski for touring missions or those who are looking for a ski to perform in classic east coast backcountry conditions. The fire red topsheets don't hurt either.
