The 106 shares a few characteristics of the 96 but the added width combined with moderately aggressive tip rocker profile dramatically changes it to a powder hungry crud busting ski. Perfect for carrying your speed in low angle powder or a destination ski trip. On firm snow you'll find that you won't engage the tip but that's what makes it so easy to turn in pow / slush / crud.
