The cornerstones of any backcountry setup are your skis: your planks, boards, sticks, whips will be constant companions on many laps up the skintrack and farming those sweet, sweet turns. They will carry you through the deepest powder days and lowest-tide scratchy descents, from pre-season shark dodging to June bootpacking in the alpine.
